All church services are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Act of Spiritual Communion (below) is a good prayer to offer at this time. We place all our trust in our Blessed Lord and ask the prayers of his Holy Mother.

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

Hope in the Future at Holy Infant's

In the time ahead, we are encouraging one another to be more aware of what’s happening in our parish and how to be actively involved ourselves. We know that it’s a challenge for each one of us to be co-responsible but it’s a good challenge as we pray that our parish community continues to grow and thrive in faith, hope and love as followers of Christ today. If you have any questions, please speak to our parish HITF Rep Jane Grundy.

Our Patron

The Holy Infant and St Anthony

The saint most often seen in artwork holding the Infant Jesus in his arms is our patron St Anthony of Padua. The story is told that one day, while reading the Scriptures, he received an apparition. The Infant Jesus appeared resting on the pages of the Scriptures and in his arms. The Word of God appeared to the man who had dedicated his whole life to preaching the Gospel. For this reason, many images of St Anthony depict him holding a Bible alongside the Infant Jesus.
